Topic: Dr. Shrenik Shah:
Healing Through a Plant-Based Lifestyle
Dr. Shrenik Shah is a retired primary care physician who has followed a plant-based lifestyle for over 22 years. His journey began after a transformative African safari and deepened through spirituality and meditation, leading him to advocate for compassionate, plant-based choices.
Through research and clinical practice, Dr. Shah emphasized lifestyle change—especially a vegan diet—before medication, helping thousands of patients reverse high cholesterol, diabetes, and obesity. His environmental work highlights the role of animal agriculture in deforestation and climate change.
A heart attack six months into his plant-based journey became a turning point; he increased exercise, ran his first marathon one year later, and has since completed six marathons, lost 23 pounds, and reversed heart disease.
Now nearly 24 years heart-disease-free, Dr. Shah continues to inspire, particularly within the South Asian community, as Medical Director of World Vegan Vision, promoting health, compassion, and sustainability through a plant-based lifestyle.
