Day Trip to Cow Sanctuary, Siddhachalam Jain Temple & Balaji Temple

HSCSJ is very happy to announce a bus trip to:
·      Lakshmi Cow Sanctuary in Stroudsburg, PA 
·      Siddhachalam Jain Tirth in Blairstown, NJ  
·      Sri Venkateswara Temple (also known as Balaji Temple) in Bridgewater, NJ

Lakshmi Cow Sanctuary is located on 42 lush acres of farmland in Eastern Pennsylvania.  Currently, there are 26 cows at the sanctuary.  Feeding time is 9am-5pm so you’re welcome to bring carrots, celery, leafy green vegetables, corn, melons, bananas, apples, etc. to feed the cows.  The sanctuary is a not-for-profit organization, and donations are tax deductible.

Siddhachalam is a Jain ashram located in an idyllic setting in rural North-Western New Jersey on 120 acres of hilly terrain.  It has 11 nature and meditation trails spread over about 3 miles. It has a beautiful lake and several ponds filled with water from natural springs. It is also a safe sanctuary for deer, peacocks, turkeys, cats and other animals and birds.

Sri Venkateswara Temple (Balaji Mandir) is a Hindu temple located in Bridgewater, New Jersey. This traditional stone temple was inaugurated in 1998. The temple is 11,000 square feet. Located on the first floor of the temple, there is a great Balaji Temple Café which serves South Indian cuisine at very nominal cost (at your own expense).

8:30am    -      Bus will arrive at ICC
8:45am     -      Bus will leave ICC sharp at 8:45am
11:15am – 12:30pm    -      Lakshmi Cow Sanctuary
1.00pm – 4:00pm      -      Lunch/Siddhachalam Jain Tirth
5:00pm - 6.30pm     -      Sri Venkateswara Temple (Balaji Mandir)
8pm      -      Return to ICC (approx.)

Seats will be allocated upon payment on a first come, first serve basis.
